Henry M. "Pete" Taylor, age 86, of Brinkley, Arkansas, died Tuesday, June 21 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Ideal, he was the son of the late Dale E. and Katie Dominey Taylor. He graduated from Ideal High School and served in the US Navy from 1948-1952. He was stationed in San Diego, CA, Seattle, WA, Hawaii, Japan and South Korea.
He retired from AT&T as an installer. He was a 32 degree Mason and a Shriner. Pete's family called him a "full-time fisherman" but he also enjoyed hunting, talking over old times with family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Junior, Buford and Baby Taylor; his sisters, Mary Taylor King and Verna Taylor Chambers; his grandson, Hayden Taylor.
Funeral services will held at 2 PM Saturday, June 25 in First United Methodist Church in Brinkley, Arkansas.
Interment will be at 11 AM Thursday, June 30 in Ideal City Cemetery in Ideal, Georgia. Rev. Tommy Mason will officiate.
