Hazel Griggs

Hazel Griggs, age 90, of Unadilla, died Monday, August 1, 2005, in a Cordele nursing home.
Born in Houston County, she was the daughter of the late Carlton M. Tucker and Sarah Alma Cole Tucker. She was a school teacher for many years and was a member of the Georgia Retired Teachers Association and the Dooly County Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Unadilla United Methodist Church, the Mary Murray Sunday School Class and the evening circle. After she retired from teaching, she worked at Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home in Unadilla for many years. Her husband, Warren H. Griggs, preceded her in death.

She is also surived by 2 nephews, J. W. Adkins and John Adkins and one niece, Judy Weldon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in Unadilla United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 7 - 9 PM Wednesday, August 3 at the funeral home.
