Hattie P. Adair, age 76, of Haines City, Florida died Saturday, September 26, 2009, at her residence due to heart failure.
She was born in Unadilla on October 18, 1932 to the late Edward and Beatrice Peavy. After graduating from Unadilla High School in 1949, she moved to Davenport, Florida. Mrs. Adair was retired from the US Postal Service.
She is survived by her sons, Rodney Adair (Carmen) of Haines City, FL, Ross Adair of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Richard Adair (Dawn) of St. Cloud, FL; two sisters, Carolyn Massey of Avon Park, FL and Ellen Smith of Pinehurst; 4 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Juanita Peavy, Clyde Sellars and Mary Douglass and by a granddaughter, Suzanne Adair.
A memorial service will be held by her high school classmates and friends at 2 pm Sunday, October 18 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla.
Memorial gifts may be made to the donor's favorite charity or the church of their choice.
