Harvey L. "Red" Gilmore, Sr. age 89, of Vienna, died Friday, February 13, 2015, at Pinehill Nursing Center in Byromville.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Jack Gilmore and Ethel McCarty Gilmore. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, a farmer and retired from Harris Press & Shear. Mr. Gilmore was a member of Vienna First Baptist Church and VFW Post 4742 in Cordele where he was past-commander. His greatest love was spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Lee Harris, Jr. and his siblings, Harry, Roy Hoyt, Robert, Gordon and James Gilmore and Marvella Culberson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, February 16 in Vienna Church of God. Interment will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Schley County.
The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Sunday, February 15 at the funeral home.
