Gordon C. Sirmons

Gordon Charles Sirmons, age 80, of Pinehurst, died Friday, December 26, 2008, at River Willows Nursing Home in Abbeville.

Born in Crisp County, he was the son of the late Johnnie Nathaniel Sirmons and Vera Sargent Sirmons. He was self-employed as a truck driver.

Son: Charles Sirmons of Pinehurst

Brother: Winifred Sirmons (Wynette) of Cordele

Sister: Mildred Sirmons of Cordele

Grandchildren: Michele Lawson of Forsyth
Tonya Jones (Chipper) of Byromville

Great Grandchildren: Joseph Jones, Morgan Lawson, Bo Jones, Ansley Lawson and Nate Lawson

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah W. Sirmons, a great grandson, Peyton A. Lawson and by his sisters, Nell Hunter, Norma Lurene Sirmons and Jeanette Sirmons.

Graveside services will be at 3 PM Monday, December 29 in Pinehurst City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 4 - 6 PM Sunday, December 28 at the funeral home.
