Gloria R. (Rogers) Goodroe

Gloria Rogers Goodroe, affectionately known as "Doda," passed away on December 12, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.  She was a dedicated member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church where she served as pianist and a choir member for many years.  Not only was she a homemaker and "chef," but also worked at Pinehurst Equipment Company.  As an animal lover, she never met a cat she didn't love!  Her memory will be treasured by everyone who knew her.

Born in Bainbridge, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Roy Rogers and Ardelle Manuel Rogers.  She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Harris Goodroe, two brothers and a sister.

Survivors include: Daughters: Anne Greer (Billy) of Pinehurst Delle Sheppard (Les) of Leesburg

Grandchildren: Bill Greer (Kristi) of Unadilla Julie Parsons (William) of Perry Molly Rice (Mickey) of Shellman Matt Sheppard of Leesburg

Great Grandchildren:  Ansley, Ava and Will Greer of Unadilla, Garison Rice of Shellman, Kevin and Landon Sheppard of Leesburg

Sister-in-law:  Edna Goodroe of Cumming

Graveside services will be held at 4 PM Saturday, December 14 in Walnut Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 2:30 - 3:30 PM Saturday, December 14 at the funeral home.
