He was born in Hawkinsville, Georgia on May 1, 1957, to Andrew Gibson and Aniie Jean Gibson. Gerald loved Nascar, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Rebel Flag.

Grandchildren: Dallas, Allyssa, Chelsea, Skyla, Alexis, Autumn and Hunter

Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins survive.

Memorial services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 8 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna with Rev. Freddy Hogg officiating.
