Geneva S. Taylor, age 89, of 1115 East 8th Avenue, Cordele, died Saturday, January 23, 2016, at her residence.
Born in Seville, she was the daughter of the late Walter M. Shirah and Mary Elizabeth White Shirah. She was a homemaker, a member of Drayton Baptist Church and worked as a sitter for the elderly. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Sam Bowen and Joe Taylor and her son, Sam Bowen, Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, January 26 in Vienna City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Monday, January 25 at the funeral home.
