Gene McCleskey, age 75, of 120 Oakbin Road, Pinehurst, died Friday, August 27, 2010, at his residence.
Born in Marietta, he was the son of the late John Rha McCleskey and Ellen New McCleskey. He was a farmer, a member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church and had served in the National Guard. Mr. McCleskey loved his family, farming and NASCAR.
Survivors include:
Wife: Mary P. McCleskey of Pinehurst
Daughter: Lori McCleskey Brannen (Danny) of Hawkinsville
Sons: Stuart McCleskey (Janet) of Vienna
Sam McCleskey of Pinehurst
Sister: Faye Peck of Gainesville, FL
Grandchildren: Jacob Brannen, Michael McCleskey and Mark McCleskey
Graveside services will be at 2 PM Monday, August 30 at Liberty Cemetery near Pinehurst.
The family will greet friends 4 - 6 PM Sunday, August 29 at the funeral home.
