Gaye Mixon

Gaye Mixon, age 68, of 625 Old Americus Road, Vienna, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Born in Vienna, she was the daughter of the late Price Cross and Ethel Reed Cross and a 1961 graduate of Vienna High School. Gaye worked for Bowen Chevrolet and Bowen Funeral Home 1963-83, New York Life 1983-86, MTV Food Store 1986-2001 and since 2002, she has been a real estate agent with Fickling & Co. in Warner Robins. She was a member of Vienna First Baptist Church, the Vivian Bonner Sunday School Class and taught Sunday School at Southern Retreat.

She is also survived by her beloved pet, Ipod/Tabby Kat.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Archie Cross and her husband, Jack Mixon.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 17 in Vienna First Baptist Church with interment in Vienna City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Thursday, August 16 at the funeral home.
