Fred Kelly, Jr., age 83, of 3615 Kuida Avenue, Columbus, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at Columbus Regional Medical Center.
Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late Fred Kelly and Eva Doc Perry Kelly. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a member of Edgewood United Methodist Church. Mr. Kelly joined the Georgia Power Company in 1945 following his military service and served the company in Tifton, Montezuma, Albany, Fort Gaines, Pelham and Columbus before retiring in 1986.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mae Kelly of Columbus

Brother: Steve Kelly (Nancy) of Winston-Salem, NC

Amy Leigh Jacobsen (Jonathan) of Lehi, UT
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 6 in Edgewood United Methodist Church in Columbus.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, September 7 in Vienna City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends following the service.
