Fred M. Johnson

Fred M. Johnson, 83, of 413 Hudson Road, Vienna, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Montezuma, he was the son of the late William R. Johnson and Frances Mitchell Johnson.  He retired from the United States Army and following his military career, he retired from Birdseye in Montezuma.  Fred was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and an avid fisherman.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, G. W. "Doc" Johnson, Robert Johnson and Annie Kate Baker.

Survivors include: Wife:  Grace Johnson of Americus

Brothers: Lee Johnson of Ideal Jesse Johnson (Rose) of Warwick

Sister:  Beulah Mae Felker of Beaufort, SC

Caretakers:  Cheryl and Sam Hines of Vienna

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at Andersonville National Cemetery at 2 PM Tuesday, January 18.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 pm Monday, January 17 at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Reflections Hospice and his CNA, Sandra for the loving care given to Fred.
