Frank Hamsley

Frank Hamsley, age 76, of 218 Horne Street, Pinehurst, died Sunday, August 1, 2004, at his residence.

Born in Houston County, he was the son of the late Melvin Hamsley and Alice Glenn Hamsley. He was a member and deacon at Double Branch Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Hamsley enjoyed ministering to others by playing gospel music at several local nursing homes and churches, by teaching Sunday School and witnessing his faith at local prisons. He retired from the timber industry.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 3 in Double Branch Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. Stewart-Allen Clark will officiate and burial will follow in Pinehurst City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 7 - 9 PM Monday, August 2 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund of Double Branch Freewill Baptist Church, Route 3 Box 3500 Hawkinsville, GA 31036 or to United Hospice, 16th Avenue, Cordele, GA 31015.
