Frances H. (Holmes) Raper

Frances H. Raper, age 74, of 312 Wiley Road, Cordele, went home to her Heavenly Father to reunite with loved ones gone on before.  She passed away at Crisp Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Unadilla, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Holmes and Pauline Etheridge Holmes.  Frances was retired but worked part-time at Cracker Barrel in Cordele.  She loved to welcome people into the store with her contagious smile and laughter.  She will be missed by anyone who was blessed enough to know her.

Survivors include: Sons:  William Glenn Young, William Dennis Young and Robert Shane Raper

Sisters:  Helen Terpstra, Judy Johnson and Rose Hatfield

Grandchildren:  April Fountain, Glenn Young, Daniel Young, Lonnie Young, Levi Guined, Tristan Raper, Jack Raper

Great Grandchildren:  several

She was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Devayne "ROHO" Raper, her sister, Edith Holmes and her brother, Richard Holmes.

Friends are invited to join the family at Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home on Saturday, October 12 from 2 to 4 pm for a time of celebration and to honor Frances.
