Floyd L. Tucker

Floyd L.Tucker, age 83, of 3550A Highway 341 South, Hawkinsville, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Tucker was born in Brandon, Florida.  He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of honorable service to his country.  Following his military service, he worked at Blue Bird as a drafting engineer and later at Proctor & Gamble as an electrical engineer.  He was a member of Byromville Baptist Church.  Mr. Tucker loved his Lord and his family.  He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in sports.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd L. Tucker and Florence Sammons and H. R. Thompson and Lucy Thompson and his wife, Elner Ann Pyle Tucker.   He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Carlie Bridges, Mary Frier, Myrtice Parker, Gene Tucker, Bobby Sammons, Edwin Thompson and Shelvia Judah.

Survivors include: Daughter:  Pat Ellis (Kyle) of Hawkinsville

Son:  Lorne Tucker (Lisa) of Perry

Siblings: William Brantley Tucker (Mary Alice) of Hilliard, FL Dianne Emery (Doug) of Winter Haven, FL Danny Tucker ((Sandy) of Frostproof, FL Mary Beth Reed-Rogers (Denny) of Byromville Allen Thompson (Hildred) of Byromville Margaret Mayo (Bucky) of Enterprise, AL Buck Thompson (Debbie) of Perry Cathy Thompson of Byromville

Grandchildren:  Tucker Ellis (Marissa) of Hawkinsville, Amanda Martin (Alden) of Perry, Kaitlin Rainey (Dustin) of Hawkinsville and Lindsey DeYampert (Sullivan) of Kathleen

Great Grandchildren:  Autumn Martin, Sara Ann Rainey, Weston Rainey, Aaron Ellis, Audrey Ellis, Lucy DeYampert, Adddie Martin, Seth Ellis, Silas Ellis, Maggie DeYampert, Alivia Martin and Sylvie Rainey

He is also survived by numerous beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, July 19 in Byromville Baptist Church.  Interment with military honors will follow in Roberts Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 4 - 6 PM Sunday, July 18 at the funeral home and may be contacted at the residence, 3550A Highway 341 South, Hawkinsville.
