Floyd L. "Buddy" Neighbors

Floyd L. "Buddy" Neighbors, age 67, of 308 Andrews Street, Vienna, died Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.

Born in Cherokee County, he was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart. Buddy retired from Best Manufacturing and enjoyed car racing, working on cars and deer hunting. He also served on the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department.

God-great grandchildren: Caitlin Barrett, Christina Barrett, Riley Holder, Lillie Holder, J. J. Stewart, Autumn Stewart and Hope Godfrey

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Neighbors and Sallie Pearson Neighbors, his wife, Linda Neighbors and his siblings, Johnny Neighbors, Geraldine Griffith and Anna Belle Neighbors.

Graveside services will be at 3 PM Saturday, February 2 in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Friday, February 1 at the funeral home.
