Floyd D. Ayers, age 89, of Vienna, died Friday, September 16, 2005, at his residence.

Born in Rome, Georgia, he was the son of the late Andrew Pat Ayers and Beulah Hames Ayers. He retired from Tom Houston Peanut Company where he was a salesman. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church, the Woodmen of the World and TOPS.

Survivors include:
Wife: Dorothy Ayers of Vienna

Daughter: Carol Ann McCarthy (Pete) of Smithfield, VA

Sister: Sallie Calhoun of Vienna

Grandchild: Carmen McCarthy of Smithfield, VA

Step Daughter: Julie Billings of Chicago, IL

Step Sons: Dennis Billings of Vienna
Michael Billings of Billings, MT
Brad Billings of Billings, MT

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 18 at Riverview Baptist Church. Rev. Bobby Ward and Rev. Jeff Ayers will officiate.

A second funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 20 in the chapel of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home in Hampton, Virginia. Rev. Lamar Black will officiate and interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News, Virginia.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home in Vienna on Saturday, September 17 from 6 - 8 PM.

The family will also greet friends at the funeral home in Hampton on Tuesday, September 20 from 12:30 - 2:00 PM.
