Evvie Edge, age 91, of 309 Highway 90, Lilly, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at her residence.
Born in Pitts, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Augustus Fussell and Lizzie McGhee Fussell. She was a homemaker, a member of Lilly United Methodist Church, the Lilly Womans Club and was was also active in efforts to restore the Lilly School. Mrs. Edge was a loving mother devoted to her continually growing family and was looking forward to the birth of her 5 great great grandchild in July.

Daughters: Gladys B. Hatcher (Ronnie) of Byromville
Gloria Royal (George) of Lilly
Mary Holloway (Douglas) of Rome

Great Grandchildren: 20
Great Great Grandchildren: 4
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Homer Patterson and Robert L. Edge and by a loving daughter-in-law, Joan Edge.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 21 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele.
The family will greet friends from 7 - 9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crsip Regional Hospice, 906 North Fifth Street, Cordele, GA 31015.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
