Evelyn C. Gilbert

Evelyn Cason Gilbert, age 94, of 101 Monte Place, Cordele, died Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at her residence.

Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Dovie Cason and Mabel Coppedge Cason. She was a homemaker, a member of Vienna First Baptist Church for 70 years, a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class and the widow of Mixon Gilbert.

Sons: Gary Gilbert (Diane) of Vienna
Billy Gilbert (Patsy) of Vienna
Mickey Gilbert (Vicki) of Cordele

Sister: Mary Burch of Jonesboro

Brother: Ralph Cason of Vienna

Grandchildren: 5

Great Grandchildren: 7

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, December 7 in Vienna First Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Stephens and Dr. J. W. Wallis officiating. Interment will follow in Vienna City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 6 - 8 PM Thursday, December 6 at the funeral home.
