Ernest J. "Johnny" Smith, Jr.

Ernest J. "Johnny" Smith, Jr., age 75, of 458 Cole Drive SW, Lilburn, Georgia, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 13, 2018.

Born in Pinehurst, he was the son of the late Ernest J. Smith and Sannie Suggs Smith and a 1960 graduate of Unadilla High School.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Ernest was a graduate of the University of Georgia where he met his beautiful bride of 52 years.  Mr. Smith retired from AIG where he was a claims adjuster. He was a passionate, gentle and loving man who adored his wife and family.  His granddaughter was the apple of his eye.  His love and tenderness will be greatly missed.

Survivors include:
Wife  Judy Ann Smith of Lilburn

Daughter: Stefanie Frick (Ray) of Monroe

Son: Keith Smith of Lilburn

Brother: Ronnie Smith of Unadilla

Granddaughter:  Paige Frick of Atlanta

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM Saturday, January 20 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla with interment in Walnut Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 1 - 3 PM Saturday, January 20 in the church fellowship hall.

The family will gather for lunch in the fellowship hall at noon prior to the visitation.

Mr. Smith loved his church family at Annistown Baptist Church and the family is grateful for their love and support.  A special thank-you is also extended to his loved ones and friends who assisted with his care and the care of his wife.
