Emily S. Brannen, age 73, of 3264 Lower River Road, Montezuma, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Smith, Sr. and Alma Lois Scott Smith. She was a member of Smyrna Independent Methodist Church and had worked at People's Propane and for many years, in the family cotton ginning business. Mrs. Brannen enjoyed cooking and fishing, but her greatest love was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Major H. Brannen.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Friday, June 8 in Snow United Methodist Church with interment in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Thursday, June 7 at the funeral home.

Family and friends are invited to join the family for lunch at the residence of Jack and Gail Brannen, 1312 Railroad Street, Unadilla prior to the service and again following the service.
