Ellis Sangster, age 80, of 1135 Holstein Road, Vienna, died Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.
Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late J. R. C. Sangster and Ola Lane Sangster. He was a former member of the Georgia National Guard and a longtime member of Smyrna Baptist Church. Ellis farmed his entire adult life and loved camping and story telling. His greatest joy in life was his grandchildren to whom he was known as Dada.

Sons: Ellis Wayne Sangster (Cathy) of Pineview Brian Keith Sangster (Amanda) of Vienna
Sisters: Jean Peavy of Blackshear Linda Faye Sangster of Rockledge Betty Herrington (Gary) of Sanford, NC
Brothers: A. J. Sangster (Martha) of Conyers Roger Sangster of Vienna
Grandchildren: Shelby Sangster Blaschka (Bryce), Whitney Sangster (Jacob), Rylan Sangster and Brooklyn Sangster
Great Grandchild: Adalyn Loper
He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Edward Sangster, Norma Sangster Mixon, Evelyn Sangster, Willis Sangster and Christine Highsmith.
Graveside services will be held at 3 pm Thursday, April 7 in Lane Cemetery with Rev. Larry Wilbanks officiating.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 pm Wednesday, April 6 at the funeral home.
