Ellen P. (Peavy) Smith

Ellen P. Smith, age 82, of 573 Pine Avenue, Pinehurst, died Friday, December 14, 2018, at Fellowship Manor in Cordele.

Born in Unadilla, she was the daughter of the late Edward Peavy and Beatrice Harper Peavy.  She was a homemaker and a member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church.  Ellen loved spending time with her family.  She especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and her great grandchild.

Survivors include: Son:  Marty Smith (Pam) of Dublin

Daughter:  Robin Edwards of Cordele

Sister:  Carolyn Massey of Okeechobee, FL

Grandchildren: Cole Edwards Joellyn Thompson (Aaron) Christopher Smith (Megan)

Great Grandchild:  Kinsley Thompson

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. L. "Jady" Smith.

Graveside services will be at 3 PM Sunday, December 16 at Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla.

The family will greet friends 1 - 3 PM Sunday, December 16 at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and friends at Fellowship Manor and Reflections Hospice for taking such wonderful care of their mom.  A special thank you as well to her special caregiver, Ginny Tejeda.
