Eleanor Tippett Peavy

Eleanor Tippett Peavy, age 95, of Vienna, died Sunday, September 6, 2009, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Born in Wilcox County, she was the daughter of the late George Tippett and Callie Dickerson Tippett. She was a homemaker, a member of Smyrna Baptist Church, the WMU and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Peavy and by a son, James Tippett Peavy.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, September 8 in Smyrna Baptist Church with interment in Lane Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Monday, September 7 at the funeral home.
