Edward W. Powers

Ed Powers, age 83, of Macon, died Friday, March 27, 2020, at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Noah Powers and Felton Fraser Powers.  Ed was the owner of Cross Keys Grocery for many years.  He was a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church for over 50 years and was a member of the Rodney Browne Sunday School Class.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia Bowen Powers, his son, Keith Powers and his siblings, Harold Powers, Sam Powers, Jack Powers and Helen Powers Herndon.

Survivors include: Daughter:  Patty Stringer (Joel) of Macon

Sons: Darryl Powers of Atlanta Ken Powers (Kirstin) of Macon

Brothers: Marvin Powers (Shirley) of Cordele Doyle Powers (Lullene) of Augusta

Grandchildren: Stephen Powers (Erica) of Macon Jamie Rice of Colorado Springs, CO Heather Stringer of Macon Hunter Stringer (Hailey) of Macon Ashleigh Powers of Macon Bowen Powers of Macon

Great Grandchildren: Peyton Rice of Colorado Springs, CO Journey White of Colorado Springs, CO

Sister-in-law:  Kay Cason (Eugene) of Vienna

Graveside services for the immediate family only will be held at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery at 2 PM Monday, March 30 and will be live-streamed on the Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home Facebook page.
