Ed Pope, age 52, of 144 Taft Lane, Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Perry Hospital in Perry.
Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late John Alvin Pope and Ila Mae Youngblood Pope. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla. He was employed at Modern Dispersion South, Inc. in Fitzgerald.

Nina Forehand (Mark) of Unadilla
Brother: Neal Pope (Sandy) of Hawkinsville
Grandchildren: Hayden Pope, Will Pope and Lila Pope
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
His brother, Jimmy Pope, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, March 10 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla. Interment will be private.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Saturday, March 9 at the funeral home and may be contacted at the residence of Mark & Nina Forehand, 955 Oak Street, Unadilla.
