Edd W. Carr, Jr

Edd W. Carr, Jr., age 57, of 2492 Highway 41 North, Cordele, died Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Edd W. Carr and Juanita Dudney Carr. Edd served his country with honor as a Flight Medic in the United States Army. He was a Physician's Assistant and a former director of the Dooly County EMS. He was retired from the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of American Legion Post 202. Edd loved fishing and was a pilot.

He is also survived by several cousins and his friend and the mother of his children, Willa Carr of Union City, TN.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am Monday, March 16 in Vienna First Baptist Church with interment following in Vienna City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Sunday, March 15 at the funeral home and may be contacted at the Fraser residence, 2492 Highway 41 North, Cordele.
