Doris B. Brannen, age 89, of 464 Second Street, Unadilla, died Monday, November 17, 2008, at her residence.
Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Lee Everett and Nora Brown Everett and John Brown. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla and the widow of Clinton B. Brannen, Sr. Mrs. Brannen was known for her devotion to her family, her sense of humor and her giving nature. She loved flowers and spending time with her family and friends.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving family which includes her children, Clinton Brannen, Jr. (Teda) of Cordele, Nancy Brannen Barron (Freddy) of Unadilla, Judy Brannen Morgan (David) of Stone Mountain, Tommy Brannen (Dee) of Unadilla, Phil Brannen (Linda) of Perry; a sister, Kathryn Everett Bryant of Unadilla; two brothers, Talmadge Everett of Vienna, Ike Everett of Pinehurst; grandchildren, Bishop Brannen of Warner Robins, Tiffany Brannen Taylor (Dr. Kevin Taylor) of Dublin, Jarrod Brannen (Leanne) of Perry, Jeff Barron (Kim) of Unadilla, Brandon Barron of Atlanta, Dave Morgan (Madelon) of Alpharetta, Scott Morgan (Ginger) of Buford, Mary Margaret Brannen Lewis (Weston) of Atlanta, Lea Brannen Fountain (Bryan) of Perry, Walt Brannen of Bozeman, MT, Ann Brannen Keadle (Dr. Trey Keadle) of Chattanooga, TN, Ben Brannen of Nashville, TN; 17 great grandchildren.
Her brother, Billy Everett, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Wednesday, November 19 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla. A private entombment service for family only will follow in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 6:30 - 7:30 PM Tuesday, November 18 at the funeral home.
