Doris B. (Beck) Johnson

Doris B. Johnson, age 90, of Unadilla, died Monday, December 18, 2023, at Pinewood Manor Nursing Center in Hawkinsville.

Born in Cochran, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester Beck and Alma Smith Beck.  She was a homemaker, had worked at Fullington Academy in the lunchroom and retired from the All State Truck Stop.  Doris was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla and the Ruth Sunday School Class.  She was an outgoing person who loved doing things for others.  More than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include: Daughters: Kay Godfrey (Wayne) of Kathleen Carol Cape (Danny) of Cordele

Grandchildren: Jessie Godfrey (Tyson O'Brien) of Mobile, AL Jessica Rodgers (Billy) of Cordele

Great Grandchildren: Kylie Rodgers and Lawson Rodgers of Cordele

Nieces/Nephews: Jeanette Rismiller (Jimmy) Patricia Middlebrooks Eddie Holloway (Lita) Paulette Porche Ronnie Holloway

Devoted Friends:  Sandra Arend, Latrelle Brannen and Marti Wynne

She is also survived by bonus great grandchildren and a bonus great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie C. Johnson and her siblings, Buster Beck (Evelyn), Calvin Beck (Ernestine), Sara Holloway and Evelyn Davis (Elbert) and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, December 21 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Daniels officiating.  Interment will follow in Walnut Cemetery.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
