Donald D. Pope

Donald D. Pope, age 57, of 138 Hibiscus Circle, Cordele, died Sunday, April 23, 2023, at his residence.

Donnie was born in Hawkinsville on July 14, 1965.  He was a Radiology Technician and a member of Penia Baptist Church.  He was also a pilot and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  More than anything else, he loved supporting his favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs.

Survivors include: Wife:  Angie Griggs Pope of Cordele

Daughter:  Katie Pope of Cordele

Son:  Derek Pope (Katrice Carter) of Seattle, WA

Mother:  Brenda Medlock of Cordele

Step-Sister:  Robin Littleton (Wade) of Sylvester

Grandchildren:  Kaiden Pope, Kehlani Pope and Eli Pope

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Pope, his sister, Sheilia Keen and his step-father, Billy Medlock.

Friends are invited to the Pope residence, 138 Hibiscus Circle, Cordele on Monday, April 24 from 1 - 7 pm for visitation with the family.

A celebration of Donnie's life will be held in the pasture at the Griggs Farm, 3265 Highway 230 East, Unadilla from 7 - 10 pm Friday, May 5.

The family requests memorial gifts be made to Pruitt Health Hospice, 708 East 16th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia 31015.
