Donald W. Peavy

Donald Peavy, age 82, of 1940 Calhoun Road, Vienna, died Thursday, October 18, 2007, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late J. C. Peavy and Lizzie Edwards Peavy. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and a retired farmer. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was a member of the Mens Bible Class. Donald enjoyed sharing his musical talent at many area churches and nursing homes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia S. Peavy.

Daughters: Donna Faye Cross (Lee) of Pinehurst
Shirley Keene of Vienna

Sons: Rodney Peavy (Marlin) of Vienna
Mike Peavy (Kathy) of Vienna

Grandchildren: 5

Great Grandchildren: 3

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 20 in Smyrna Baptist Church with interment in Vienna City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 6 - 8 PM Friday, October 19 at the funeral home or may be contacted at the residence of Shirley Keene, 1395 Calhoun Road, Vienna.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
