Dewey M. Banks, age 94, of Vienna, died Friday, December 26, 2008, in a local nursing home.
Born in Crisp County, he was the son of the late Edward Rufus Banks and Lena Murphy Banks. He was a member of Lilly United Methodist Church and a retired Farmer.
His wife, Verna Swearingen Banks, preceded him in death.
Survivors include:
Daughters: Peggie B. Davis (Bob) of Cordele
Janice Calhoun (Bruce) of Vienna
Grandchildren: 6
Great Grandchildren: 10
Graveside services will be at 11 AM Saturday, December 27 in Vienna City Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made to Lilly UMC, c/o Henry Ingram, 309 South Fifth Street, Vienna, GA 31092.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
