David Cox

David Cox, age 64, of 10501 Highway 230 West, Unadilla, died Sunday, May 16, 2021, at his residence.

Born in Verdon, France, he was the son of the late Leonard Andrew Cox and Launa Hampton Cox.  David graduated from Auburn University in 1978 with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal and Dairy Science.  He came to Dooly County as the Young Farmer Advisor and spent the rest of his life in the field of agriculture.  He was a member of Byromville United Methodist Church and loved fishing and growing cotton.   He truly cherished the time he spent with his grandson, Forrest.

Survivors include: Wife:  Becky S. Cox of Unadilla

Son:  Ben Cox (Missy) of Pinehurst

Daughter:  Cate Cox Kirkland (Timothy) of Savannah

Brother:  Dan Cox (Janice) of Orlando, FL

Grandson:  Forrest Cox of Pinehurst

Niece:  Allison Cox Bastani of Los Angeles, CA

Nephew:  Matthew Cox of Orlando, FL

Great Niece: Cami Cox

He was preceded in death by his son, David Heath Cox and his sister, Cathy Cox.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, May 18 in Byromville United Methodist Church with interment in Roberts Cemetery.
