Danny Ethridge

Charlie Daniel “Danny” Etheridge Jr., 79, of 935 Oak Street, Unadilla passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026,  at Brightmoor Hospice in Macon.

Danny was born in Montezuma on September 6, 1946 to the late Charlie Daniel and Jewel Ballard Etheridge. He graduated from Macon County High School, served our country as a member of the United States Army in Vietnam, and owned Dairy Park in Montezuma for more than ten years. He went on to become the plant manager at Southern Frozen Foods where he retired after twenty-two years. Danny moved to Unadilla in 1993 after meeting Trella Owens Etheridge, where they were members of Unadilla Methodist Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Kevin Ethridge of Thomasville; his brother, Terry Ethridge of Macon; his step-daughter, Brandi McIntyre (Tracy) of Perry; his step-son, Brian Brannen of Vienna; his granddaughter Sydney Blake Etheridge; his grandson Brannen McIntyre.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chris, and his loving wife of 26 years, Trella. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, July 8 in Unadilla Methodist Church with interment following in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens in Oglethorpe.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
