Clarence R. Bodrey

August 13, 1918 — May 26, 2005

Clarence R. Bodrey, age 86, died Thursday, May 26, 2005, at Magnolia Manor in Americus.

Mr. Bodrey was the son of the late James Henry Bodrey and Mamie Arnold Bodrey. He was a native of the Penia Community in Crisp County and was a farmer. He lived most of his life in Crisp County and was a charter member of Morningside Baptist Church. His son, Russell Bodrey, preceded him in death.

Survivors include:
Sons: Charles Bodrey (Frances) of Damascus
Claude Bodrey (Kathy) of Vienna
Ray Bodrey of Statesboro

Daughters: Ann Youngblood (Ronnie) of Byromville
Sara Borum (Jimmy) of Unadilla

Sister: Mattie Baker of Cordele

Grandchildren: 12
Great Grandchildren: 15

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 28 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Cordele. Rev. Lawton Sammons will officiate.

The family may be contacted at the Borum residence, 184 Ransom Road, Unadilla.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mattie Marshall Center at Magnolia Manor, 2001 South Lee Street, Americus, GA 31709.

Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
