Christine C. Griggs, age 86, of Pinehurst, died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Phoebe-Sumter Hospital in Americus.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Early Edgar Coker and Emily Kitchens Coker. She was a faithful member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church for many years. Mrs. Griggs was a homemaker and worked as the bookkeeper for her family's business, Planters Warehouse/Griggs Gin Co.

Grandchildren: Kim C. Barron (Jeff), Tripp Conner (Kimberly), Michael C. Conner, Angie Griggs, Christy Griggs Deal, Keri Griggs Dolan (Brian), Clegg Griggs (Aimee), Jacob Griggs (Becky), Capt. Nathaniel Griggs, USMC, Joanna Jenkins and Travis Jenkins

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Griggs, Jr.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday, May 16 in Pinehurst United Methodist Church with interment in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 1 - 2:30 PM Sunday, May 16 at the funeral home.
