Charles R. Payne

Charles R. Payne, age 80, of 2381 Pennahatchee Road, Vienna, died Friday, November 25, 2022 at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Born in Wilcox County, he was the son of the late Clint Payne and Lucy Hancock Payne.  Charles was self-employed as a carpenter and a logger.  He was devoted to his family and cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include: Daughters: Billie Jo Kidd (Bob) of Vienna Regina Grinstead of Vienna Rosana Brannen of Dooling

Brother: Delmar Payne of Rockwell, IA

Grandchildren: Brittany "Britt" Kidd Robert "Bubba" Brannen Brianna "BB" Kidd

Great Grandchildren: Cierra "CC" Carroll Avery "Po-Jo" Carroll

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Monday, November 28 at Cedar Creek Cemetery near Abbeville.

The family will greet friends 5 - 7 pm Sunday, November 27 at the funeral home.

Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
