Cathy Peavy, age 55, of 727 Mulberry Street, Unadilla, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at her residence.
Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Eugene W. Marshall, Jr. and Eva Bullard Marshall. Cathy was a faithful member of Unadilla United Methodist Church where she served as Choir Director, chairperson of Council on Ministries, MYF Director and served on the Bereavement Committee. She was also a member of the Friends of Faith Sunday School Class, taught children and youth in Sunday School, participated in small group bible study and was a member and officer of the Juanita Brannen Friendship Circle and UMW unit. Cathy was the former owner/operator of Cathy's Beauty Salon.

Husband: David Peavy of Unadilla
Daughter: Tanya Peavy of Unadilla
Sister: Vicki Milton (Harley) of Tifton
Brother: Gene Marshall (Mary Jo) of Unadilla
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 2 in Unadilla United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Walnut Cemetery.
