Carolyn L. Hilbun, age 88, of Bowdon, Georgia, died December 17, 2003, in a Bremen, Georgia, hospital.
Born in Dublin, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Carl Hilbun and Leah Kassel Hilbun. She lived in Vienna for many years and worked as a personnel clerk for AT&T until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vienna, the Ruth Sunday School Class, the Tuesday Night Circle and had served as church secretary and evening organist. She was a member of the Vienna Senior Woman's Club, the Philharmonic Club and AARP Chapter 2820.
Survivors include:
Sister: Frances H. Simpkins of Bowdon
Brother: Charles Hilbun of Decatur
Several nieces and nephews survive
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 20 at First Baptist Church of Vienna. Rev. Jamey Hunt will officiate and burial will be at 4:30 PM at Northview Cemetery in Dublin.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 - 9 PM Friday, December 19.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 351, Vienna, GA 31092.
