Carolyn B. Gregory

Carolyn B. Gregory, age 73, of Vienna, died Friday, April 30, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Olen Burton and Rubye Harper Burton. She was a member of Vienna United Methodist Church where she faithfully served in many capacities and was truly a mentor. She had served on the Board of Ordained Ministry for the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Gregory was an advocate for many causes including the Georgia Association for Retarded Citizens, where she had served as executive director.
Survivors include:
Husband: Hardy Gregory, Jr. of Vienna
Daughter: Elizabeth Forehand (David) of Cordele
Grandchildren: Bo Forehand, Marie Forehand and Meg Gregory
She was preceded in death by her son, Hardy "Greg" Gregory, III.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday, May 2 in Vienna United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Vienna City Cemetery.
There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home, but following the service, the family asks that everyone return to the Gregory residence at 311 Hudson Road, Vienna for a celebration of her life.
