Buford Wood, Jr., age 86, of Vienna, died Monday, February 9, 2009, at Cordelia Manor in Cordele.
He was born in Dooly County to the late Buford and Bertha Porter Wood. He was a US Marine Corps veteran, a member of Smyrna Baptist Church and worked as a Paralegal.
Surviving are nephews, Bobby McKinley (Paula) of Byromville and Wendell Claude (W. C.) Wood, Jr. of Macon; niece, Elaine Hunt (Chuck) of Wetumpka, AL; a cousin, Peggy Lashley of Tallahassee, FL and a sister-in-law, Melita Wood of Wetumpka, AL.
Memorial services will be at 4 PM Wednesday in Smyrna Baptist Church.
Visitation will follow the service.
