Rev. Bobby L. Ward, Sr.

Rev. Bobby L. Ward, Sr., age 72, of 1911 River Road, Vienna, died Friday, December 27, 2019, at his residence.

Born in Cordele, he was the son on the late C. H. Ward and Voncile Matthews Ward.  Because of his love and devotion for his country, Bobby volunteered for military service in the United States Army and served in Vietnam in 1967 and 1968.  A man of deep faith, he was called into the ministry and served as pastor of Riverview Baptist Church, Hatley Baptist Church and Victory Baptist Church.  He was also a farmer and a truck driver.  Bobby loved God, his family and his country.

Survivors include: Wife:  Teresa Ward of Vienna

Daughter:  Tracey Berry (Mark) of Ellaville

Son:  Bobby Lee Ward, Jr. (Teresa) of Cordele

Grandchildren: Brandon Wheeler (Sharon) of Ellaville Brittany Mulkey (Brandon) of Cordele Cory Ward of Cordele Colee Ward of Cordele Kaylee Berry of Ellaville

Great Grandchildren: Joby Lee Ward of Cordele Eli Mulkey of Cordele

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Denise Ward and his great granddaughters, Makalynn Britt and Makenzie Denise.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, December 31 at Rocky Mount Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Monday, December 30 at the funeral home.
