Bobby Lamb, age 77, of 2195 River Road, Vienna, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends.
Born on January 29, 1948, Bobby was the son of the late Elmer and Ruth Milford Lamb of Drayton. He graduated from Vienna High School and Georgia Southwestern College. He retired from the United States Department of Agriculture where he was the county manager of the Farm Service Agency.
Bobby was a member of Vienna Methodist Church where he was a Trustee and served on several committees. He recently received his 50-year apron from the Millwood Masonic Lodge # 198 and was a member of the Scottish Rite for over 50 years. He proudly served as a volunteer fireman on the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department and Drayton Fire Department for 50 years. He served as Fire Chief in Drayton for many years.
Bobby loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his grandchildren and was also a very talented woodworker and carver. Above all, Bobby loved his family and his greatest joy was being "BaPa" to his grandchildren.

Children: Beth Lilly Brown (Scott) of Macon Jay Lilly (Maggie) of Savannah Lynn Lilly Sparrow (Fate) of Lilly
Grandchildren: Conner Smith, Carter Brown, John Lilly, Jackson Smith, Ben Brown, Julia Lilly, Louisa Lilly and Cole Sparrow
Brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Jimmy and Claire Boland of Titusville, FL
Sister-in-law: Barbara Boland of Cordele
Nieces and Nephews: Clark Lamb (Sharon) Charlie Lamb (Jennifer) Keith Boland (Stephanie) Gevin Boland (Erin)
Many great nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Milford Lamb (Nancy); his sister, Wanaza Lamb; his nephew, Bryan Boland; his brother-in-law, Raymond Boland.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Thursday, September 11 in Vienna Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Braswell, Rev. John A. Walker and Rev. Larry Wilbanks officiating.
The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Wednesday, September 10 at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Burn Foundation of America. Please make checks payable to the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department and mail them to 130 North Third Street, Vienna, GA 31092. Donations may also be made to Vienna Methodist Church, 205 North Sixth Street, Vienna, GA 31092.
