Bobby L. Golden

Bobby L. Golden, age 79, of 14590 Highway 41 North, Pinehurst, died Sunday, December 6, 2015, at Regency Hospital in Macon.

Born in Villa Rica, he was the son of the late Lonis Golden and Geraldine Cooper Golden. He served his country with honor during the Korean Conflict on a destroyer in the United States Navy. He retired from Associated Transport where he was a truck driver and later worked as a security guard at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta. Bobby and his wife attended Third Street Baptist Church in Cordele.

Wife: Betty West Golden of Pinehurst

Son: Robert Golden (Edie) of Powder Springs

Daughter: Denise Bryant (Jerry) of Austell

Brothers:
Harold Golden of Canton
Jerry Golden of Atlanta

Grandchildren: 2

The family will greet friends 2 - 4 PM Saturday, December 12 at Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home in Unadilla.

A second visitation will be held 2 - 4 PM Saturday, December 19 at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home in Austell.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Davis-Struempf Funeral Home at 4 PM Saturday, December 19.

Memorial gifts may be made to Third Street Baptist Church, 307 Third Street North, Cordele, Georgia 31015.

Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla and Davis-Struempf Funeral Home of Austell have charge of arrangements.
