Blanche S. Stephens, age 69, of Oak Street, Pinehurst, died Thursday, November 11 in a Macon hospital.<br><br>Born in Cordele, she was the daughter of the late W. A. Swain and Helen Joiner Swain, was a homemaker and had also worked as a secretary for the Farm Bureau and as a desk clerk for Days Inn and Colonial Inn. Blanche was a longtime member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for 35 years. She served her community as the Dooly County Coordinator for the American Cancer Society and was a very active member of the Pinehurst Beautification Committee. Her greatest love was her husband of 53 years, her children and her grandchildren.<br><br>Survivors include:<br>Husband: Jack Stephens of Pinehurst<br><br>Daughter: Linda Cassell of Cornelia<br><br>Son: Tracey Stephens of Perry<br><br>Brother: Tommy Swain of Pinehurst<br><br>Grandchildren: Chuck Cassell, Sam Cassell, Jackie Cassell, Casey Cassell, Kori Stephens and Jordan Stephens<br><br>Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, November 15 in Pinehurst United Methodist Church. Rev. Grady Vance and Rev.
