Billy Stewart

March 25, 1934 — December 10, 2020

William E. "Billy" Stewart, age 86, of 1070 Borum Street, Unadilla, died Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.

Born in Houston County, he was the son of the late Willie Oscar Stewart and Inez Greene Stewart and a United States Army veteran.  Billy worked for many years at Pabst Brewing Company and Pinehurst Equipment Company.  He lived in Perry for many years and was a member of the Exchange Club and a past-president of the Perry Jaycees.  He enjoyed woodworking and especially making hope chests and chairs for his grandkids.  Billy was a member of Unadilla United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: Sons: Joseph Stewart of Houston, TX David Stewart (Margaret) of Charleston, SC Dennis Stewart (Bobbi) of Byron Michael Stewart (Tony Long) of Macon

Step-Son:  Charles Adams (Carol) of Hayesville, NC

Step-Daughter: Jewell Adams of Perry

Sister:  Betty Pritchett of Roberta

Grandchildren:  8

Great Grandchildren:  17

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy P. Stewart.

Graveside services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, December 15 in Walnut Cemetery with Rev. Micah Carr officiating.  Everyone attending the service is encouraged to socially distance and wear a face mask.

The family will greet friends after the service at the cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to Kindred Hospice, 105 Jim Mason Court, # 100, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.

Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
