Betty H. Thompson, age 82, of Pinehurst, died Monday, June 22, 2009, at Regency Hospital in Macon.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Herring and Lutie Frances Pennington Herring. She was a homemaker and the widow of Charlie E. "Buck" Thompson. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Byromville United Methodist Church, but actively attended Lilly United Methodist Church.

Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, June 24 in Roberts Cemetery near Byromville.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, June 23 at the funeral home.
