Betty A. (Abanathy) Purvis

Betty A. Purvis, age 66, of 577 Youngblood Avenue, Byromville, died Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Cordele Health & Rehab in Cordele.

Born in Unadilla, she was the daughter of the late Robert Abanathy and Doris Moss Abanathy.  She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed crafts but above all, she loved her family.

Survivors include: Husband:  Phillip Purvis of Byromville

Sons: Shaun Purvis (Cassie) of Byromville Kevin Purvis (Jana) of Dahlonega

Sister:  Doris Holloway of Sylvester

Brothers: Adam Abanathy of Empire Sam Abanathy of Hawkinsville

Grandchildren:  William Purvis, Kylei Purvis, Keirstin Purvis, Natesha Bagwell and Lakrista Norris

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, June 11 in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church  with interment in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
