Berner E. Dunaway

Berner E. Dunaway, age 91, of 1461 Owen Store Road, Unadilla, died Saturday, February 14, 2015, at his residence.

Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late Cliff Dunaway and Lillie Noble Dunaway and a US Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Dunaway was the owner/operator of Belda Farms. His farm earned the "Highest Cotton Yield" award in 1979, the "Highest Peanut Yield" award in 1980, "Farm Operation of the Year" in 1983 and the "Georgia Centennial Farm" award in 2005.

Alex Collins of Ailey

Great Grandchildren: Hayden Lake and Ashley Lake

He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Stokes Dunaway.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 17 in Harmony Baptist Church with interment in Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 1 - 3 PM Tuesday, February 17 at the church.
