Beatrice Brannen

Beatrice Brannen, age 80, of Hawkinsville, died Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Brightmoor Hospice in Macon.

Born in Hawkinsville, she was the daughter of the late Elmer B. Burnette and Ruth Rucker Burnette.  A 1964 graduate of Hawkinsville High School, she worked at Robins Air Force Base for several years before devoting her life to her three children as a homemaker.  In later years, she worked as a substitute teacher at Hawkinsville High School.  She loved collecting carnival glass and was a huge Elvis fan but above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.  Mrs. Brannen was a member of County Line Baptist Church.

Rodney Brannen (Melissa) of Unadilla

Grandchildren:  Ryan Brannen (Tori), Tyler Brannen (Amber), Rebecca Carver (Austin) and Kyle Brannen

Great Grandchildren:  Rhett Brannen, Darci Brannen, Tate Brannen, Caroline Brannen and Millie Brannen

Step-Grandchildren:  Joe Ben Cowher, Morgan Hendrix (Brooks), Jenna Scott and Thomas Scott

Mrs. Brannen is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Pam "Dee Dee" Ansley who is the daughter of her late brother, Pam's husband, Michael and their son, Wyatt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Brannen and her brother, Elmer B. Burnette, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, September 9 in Browndale Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 pm Tuesday, September 8 at the funeral home.
